Neha Sharma | Assistant Professor of Operations, Information and Decisions at The Wharton School

Neha Sharma is Assistant Professor of Operations, Information and Decisions at The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. She studies how pricing, incentive, information, and governance policies shape outcomes in digital marketplaces, online communities, and access-oriented markets.

Her work combines empirical analysis, stochastic models, and game theory to understand participation, service quality, and welfare in platform-based systems. Current projects examine online communities, sharing markets, access to productive assets, human-AI collaboration, and the changing role of open knowledge communities in the age of LLMs.

Before joining Wharton, she completed a Ph.D. in Operations Management and an M.S. in Statistics at Northwestern University in June 2024. Her research has been recognized in INFORMS and IBM student paper competitions and featured by Knowledge at Wharton and Kellogg Insight.
